Inside Sales Specialist/Warehouse Associate (Hiring for 2 different locations – Nashville TN and Thomasville AL)

 

Cypress Employment Services has a client in Thomasville, AL looking for an Inside Sales Specialist/Warehouse Associate

Job Summary: The Inside Sales Specialist/Warehouse Associate is responsible for building relationships with our customers by processing quotes, order entry, expediting, and working with our manufactures.  This role is also responsible for general receiving, warehousing, and shipping or delivery operations.  

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain a positive customer service culture
Fielding customer phone calls and communicating with customers to help meet their needs
Working with the branch manager and outside sales representatives to support their efforts
Providing quotes to customers based on technical product specifications
Providing outstanding customer service by following-up on orders and expediting when necessary
Working with Turner’s vendors and supplier partners to learn when new products and technology are available
Sourcing non-stock items when inventory is not available in Turner’s warehouse
Reviewing weekly and monthly reports to ensure that backorders are filled on a timely basis
Learning new computer systems for our customers to help meet their needs
Occasional work in the warehouse to process inventory
Pick customer orders as needed to complete
Inventory and Cycle Count: Print Count sheets, accurately count inventory and note on the document. Check for out of date and unsalable items and notify the Warehouse Manager. Process results of counts in SX or turn in documents to appropriate personnel for processing. Maintain record of areas counted daily to ensure complete inventory counts of the warehouse as prescribed by company policies.
Receiving-Stocking: Check all inbound shipments before signing for the correct number of packages and damage. Check items against factory packing list to verify items and count match. Run Pre-Receiving Report and match items to factory packing list. Enter receipts in SX. Assemble resulting paperwork and tickets in batches. Work backorders and place tickets and items in the correct packing areas. Use stocking report to double-check remaining stock items and place on shelf in the correct location. Report any problems to the Warehouse Manager.
Delivery Driver: Responsible for the safe operation of all company vehicles, including obeying all traffic laws both on the road and inside customer’s facilities. Items delivered should be checked for the proper number of packages and delivered damage-free. Customers should be treated with utmost respect and courtesy. Perform pre-departure maintenance checks on vehicles. All signed tickets turned in at the end of each delivery run.
Assist with the general housekeeping of the warehouse and outside of the facilities.

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma Required
Technical or vocational training preferred but not required
Experience

1 – 2 years of inside sales and/or customer service experience
Basic knowledge of warehousing
Pay: $19 per hour
