Overview

ATSS Engineering has a client in need of an Inventory Control Manager.

Responsibilities

This role is onsite based in Theodore, Alabama.
You will direct two inventory clerks.
You will verify the accuracy of receiving tickets from the clerks then receive items in inventory software i.e., Activate.
You will control & monitor inventories of stock parts used for building boats.
You will analyze current inventory levels using Activate reporting & physical counts.
You will help implement inventory control protocols.
You will create new parts in Activate for Purchasing & Engineering departments.
You will help develop a plan to reduce slow-moving inventory, recommend repurchase stock levels & improve inventory turn.
You will monitor and help maintain non-inventory part stock levels e.g., hardware, hoses.
You will generate reports for PMs, Purchasing, and Upper-Management when requested.
You will coordinate the delivery of special-order parts to their individual projects e.g., pick cart or directly to the boat.
You will help maintain the accuracy of work orders / sales orders using Project Management software (BaseCamp) e.g., replacement part needed, part unavailable therefore substitute is approved by project PM.
You will regularly cycle count the individual product categories e.g., outboard motors, VHF radios, bilge pumps.
You will analyze causes of inventory issues and provide recommended resolutions to the management team.
Qualifications

Sound knowledge of inventory management software including an understanding of its association to purchasing, accounts payable, and sales.
Proficient in inventory management – receiving, product flows, stockroom control, vendor invoice review & coding, physical inventory counts.
Thorough product research skillset in combination with performing detailed work.
Able to communicate and work fluidly with fellow employees, vendors, direct supervisor, PMs, and Management Team
High School Education or equivalent, college degree not required.
At least two years, experience in warehouse or stockroom environment required.
