ATSS Group has a client in Pascagoula, MS in need of a Network & Infrastructure Manager.

GENERAL FUNCTION: Plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. Works under the general direction of the Director of IT.

Understand the requirements of the organization and plan, design and help the networking team to establish a network.
Design specifications for establishing security in the networks and protecting vulnerable databases.
Coordinate, negotiate, and place necessary orders with the hardware and software suppliers.
Recommend proper software and hardware such as routers, hubs, hard disks, wires, etc. for networking.
Troubleshoot any kind of hardware and software problems at the end users site and make sure there is no problem in accessing any resource for the users.
Update the systems regularly with antivirus, firewall and spyware and protect any type of viruses and breakdowns in the network.
Maintain remote monitoring systems and keep track of the use of resources provided to the employees and the end users.
Set authentication and authorization permissions and restricts users from accessing important and vital information available.

Sound knowledge of the software and hardware used in the network
Ability to use the available resources wisely and establish efficient network systems.
Regularly update knowledge about the new and advanced technologies available in the market and use these technologies in the designs.
Expertise in identifying problems in the existing systems and upgrade them with the new and more efficient ones.
Ability to function as a team leader, as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships with team
Thorough knowledge of the type and use of the network. Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to drive projects;

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
5 years’ experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc. or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, and other components.
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams, adjusting and setting priorities to meet deadlines, and managing staff.
