Atss is looking for an Electrical Designer for a client in Panama City, Fl.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology or similar field of study is preferred but not required.
Required
Thorough knowledge of the following:
Multiple standardization society marine-related rulesets, such as NVR, HSNC, MVR, etc.
In compliance with the applicable contract ruleset:Placement of electrical equipment
Sizing and placement of electrical cableways
Cable routing, including cable separation and segregation.
Understanding of electrical products and how they interrelate
Electrical equipment terminations
Creation of cable pull lists for Production use.
Electrical equipment bonding and grounding requirements.
Electrical equipment cable entry details
Generation of metrics to allow Supervision to report design status to Management.
The performance of the above activities should not require the assistance of Supervision.
Behavioral Attributes: Integrity, flexibility/adaptability, initiative, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, self-starter, and multitasking. Maintain the confidential integrity of details pertaining to Eastern Shipbuilding Group.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or a Permanent Resident Card is required.
Desired
Certification as an Autodesk Certified Associate.
Thorough knowledge of at least one 3D modelings software, such as FORAN or Ship Constructor.
Proficient with AutoCAD and reading/interpreting drawings.
Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, display attention to detail, and function as a team player.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
