Atss is looking for an Engineering Manager for a client in Mobile, AL. 
 
Engineering Manager
 
The Engineering/Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the engineering department while reporting to the GM. Engineering Technical Disciplines report to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities include seeing that the department is staffed to handle workload commitments, that project execution is according to standards and working instructions, and that client expectations in terms of quality, budget and schedule are met. Also responsible for seeing that internal project financial goals are set, tracked and met.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Responsible for hiring and professional development of Discipline Leads
Supervises’s Technical Discipline Leads.
Reviews and recommends action on Discipline Lead requests for addition, reduction, or changes to staff.
Maintains familiarity with the status of all active projects including significant proposals.Regularly conducts periodic project progress reviews with Project Leads. Keeps current on budget (profitability), schedule, quality, problems, and issues with client. Assists as required.
Participates in client progress review meetings.
Maintains client contact throughout project.
Ensures that project execution standards, or if applicable, project execution standards established by the client, are followed.
Ensures that effective scheduling, reporting, and quality review procedures are universally and consistently used.
Assists Project Managers with project staffing/destaffing if required.
Assists General Manager with formulation of Engineering Department Goals & Objectives and manages outcome.
Works with General Manager, Technical Discipline Leads, and Managers of Project to ensure seamless design/build planning and project execution.
Reviews and assists with preparation of engineering and design-build proposals.
Assists Business Development in the pursuit of new business.
Plans and coordinates training for the Department.Recommends performance based promotions, compensation adjustments, and conducts performance reviews for Discipline Leads and Engineering Staff.
Assists with preparation, implementation and monitoring of the annual Capital and Expense Budgets for the Departments.Assists Management Team in developing corporate Business Plans and Vision.
Performs other related work as apparent or assigned.
PE is required, preferably in the state of Alabama
