Project Architect job description
An award winning architecture firm, based in the beautiful coastal town of Fairhope, Alabama, is seeking a new project architect to join its growing team. We have more than 30 years of experience serving a wide range of clients. We maintain an innovative, collaborative culture focused on designing beautiful projects in a variety of scale and types. We have a strong commitment to client satisfaction and creating thoughtful, well-designed spaces. We’re looking for highly motivated applicants who can multi-task and work independently on projects from the conceptual design phase through construction administration. Interested candidates should be licensed, or interested in pursuing a license.
Education and Experience
Education: Five (5) year Bachelor of Architecture degree or Six (6) year Master’s Degree from NAAB accredited school.
Experience: Five (5) years’ job-related practice.
Licensure/Certification: Registered Architect preferred.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include all phases of design and documentation through construction administration, project management and client contact.
Effectively demonstrate technical detailing and problem-solving skills on complex project types.
Preferred Qualifications
Should possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a Project Team, possess strong leadership & interpersonal skills, and strong time management skills.
Should be able to interact professionally with clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other external sources in a professional manner.
Should be proficient in technical drawing and detailing. 3-D modeling software skills also preferred.
Should posses and be able to demonstrate design creativity and talent
Should be able to manage and produce documents on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
