ATSS Engineering has a client in Calvert, AL looking for a Mechanical Planner for a contract position.
Job description & duties:
· Manage the planning element of the Asset Reliability Process (ARP) through application of accepted planning practices leveraging Maintenance Work Management, Professional Maintenance organization, processes, and enabling technologies (Example of technologies: Templates, SAP-PM, MSProject, MS Office Suite)
· Fulfill and execute the Planning responsibilities with application of “Best Practices” in the execution of Planner duties, and strive for continuous improvement in their planning efforts
· Develop Work Packages with the required level of detail to achieve effective and efficient scheduling and supporting maximum effectiveness and efficiency during execution including work safety
· Develop plans which assure minimum cost of Repair and Maintenance (R&M). Involve execution resources, and other knowledgeable Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) in plan development.
· Attending and participating as a subject matter expert for schedule logistics development
· Managing SAP W/O’s from EXP by proactively providing craft, craft duration, and system condition [0 thru 9] in header of Work Order & Operational Task Description and releasing the Work Order.
· Perform job site ‘walk-downs’ as part of assuring accuracy of plans and estimates
· Perform work package review with Scheduler and Execution Leads
· Print Work Orders, Work Packages for shutdown work and deploy to Execution Leads
Experience needs:
· SAP Maintenance Planning Experience required
· MS Office Products required
· Strong mechanical aptitude and strong experience in heavy industry maintenance required
BSME, 5-7 years Maintenance Mill Wright or similar, Maintenance Planner in Cold Rolling Mill preferred
Pay range:
$40-$50 hourly depending on experience level of candidate
Work Schedule/Hours Needed:
40 hours per week, no OT
Contract Length:
6 months to start, could be up to 2 years
