ATSS Engineering has a client in Calvert, AL looking for a Interface Manager

The ideal candidate will lead the Interfacing and communication between Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Engineering, Suppliers and the EPCM contractor to ensure that all communications are handled in a timely manner.  Acts as the key Project Team representative to ensure project scope, cost and schedule are maintained

The Basics:

Bachelors degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline, or a combination of education and experience 
7+ years demonstrated experience supporting large Capital Projects in an Engineering, Construction or Project Management role
Extensive knowledge of the Project Development and Management Lifecycle, including a deep understanding of the Request for Information (RFI), Design Change Notice (DCN) and Field Change Request (FCR) processes.
Extensive knowledge of Engineering and Technical communication processes and standards; including the use of software and systems for project review
Experience with managing the Engineering or Construction of large  heavy industrial Capital projects; a preference given to the Metal Industry.
Experience developing and administering the Project Communication PlanAbility to work with and/or lead people to achieve positive results

Owner of the Project Communication Plan.  Plan will formalize the communication standards and processes for all Project Communications.
This plan shall include the leadership of most interface meetings. 
Lead all interface and coordination meetings; maintain minutes and action item lists from those meetings; follow up with various stakeholders to ensure action items are being completed in a timely manner
Review engineering and other deliverable progress reports to ensure critical items are give attention in a timely manner
Interface with all Project Team members, EPCM members and OEMs to ensure accurate and complete understanding of all project documents, standards and processes
Own, Design and Manage the RFI, DCN and FCR processes
Ensure that Engineering / Drawing submittals, RFIs, DCNs and FCRs are being completed in a timely manner

Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
Weekend Coverage on occasion
