ATSS Engineering has a client in Calvert, AL looking for a Ferrous Materials Procurement Analyst
The Basics:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial/Manufacturing/Metallurgical Engineering or related field; Or equivalent experience
Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
Minimum of 2 years’ Electric Arc Furnace raw materials procurement experience
Solid understanding of inventory management principles
The Extras:
SAP/MES system experience preferred
Ferrous Scrap market experience in the Southeastern US preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Develop suppliers and supply chain for Electric Arc Furnace (HBI/DRI, Pig Iron, scrap, alloys, lime, carbon, etc)
Create presentations about raw material supply plans and present them to executive management
Negotiate supply contracts and execute spot purchases
Negotiate detailed purchase contracts with affiliated and 3rd party suppliers
Work with Commercial, Planning, and Slab Procurement to develop supply plans
Track and report raw material inventory and position to plan
Ensure consistent supply to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing cost
Plan, manages, and coordinate all activities related to the procurement of necessary materials
Determine purchase requirement based on inventory and demand
Calculate and maintain price for delivered materials
Ensure supplier compliance against the contracts
Develop procurement improvement project activities with other departments

Office setting
Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
Occasional travel to suppliers
