Overview

ATSS Engineering has a client in Calvert, AL looking for an Engineer – Mechanical Maintenance Continuous Pickling Line.

The ideal candidate will support the highly automated Cold Rolling Mill by analyzing reasons for production disturbances in cooperation with other maintenance and production personnel, troubleshooting unscheduled maintenance issues, and researching, developing, and coordinating work orders through completion to meet the business goals. This position will maintain the mechanical responsibilities for the Continuous Pickling Line which includes Entry, Process & Exit equipment.

 

The Basics:

Bachelor of Science Degree completed in Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Engineering practices
Maintenance Knowledge of heavy industrial equipment
Technical knowledge of:Rotational equipment, such as mechanical power transmission, drive shafts, bearings, couplings
Hydraulic systems, i.e. cylinders, servo valves, piping, hose connections, filtration
Lubrication systems, such as centralized oil and grease systems, lubrication practices
Demonstrated knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Practices
Experience using AutoCAD
Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
 

The Extras:

Experience using SAP preferred
Heavy industrial experience
Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance techniques and analysis

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
Assists in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for the mechanical and technical work performed in the department
Prepares and presents reports and findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Responsible for scheduling, planning and execution of short and long-term maintenance activities and securing cost and availability effective preventive maintenance
Prepares and attends daily meetings and briefings on the maintenance and production situation
Reviews incoming Job Notifications and prioritize in Workflow
Prepares data on cost, availability, and quality situation
Troubleshoots, adjusts, and helps maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
Observes safety, review accident/incident reports and assist in investigations as required
Coordinates, trains, and leads maintenance technicians for special tasks and responsibilities
Leads, supports, participates in, and develops improvement programs and project groups
Supports management in optimizing quality, cost, availability, and performance of equipment
Coordinates and directs personnel as needed

Office and Industrial setting
Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
On-call rotation responsibilities
